On a brighter note, lets announce our candidates for this round. Once again, loyal and timely Humdinger (on top of things, document extrodinairre writer :) sent in his list. Don't know what we'd do without him. And here it is:
- Rene Gollent "anevilyak" - for his work on Tracker and fixes of messaging in the kernel and much more.
- David McPaul "dlmcpaul" - working on avcodecs and improving seeking in avifiles, bringing us closer to a "MediaOS".
- Matt Madia "mmadia" - rose to the occasion to become Haiku's "Google Summer of Code" administrator for 2009.
- Jorge G. Mare "koki" - for not chickening out when it turned out he'd be alone on SCaLE7x :). Also, he took it on to create a website to host the Haiku User Guide and enable more people to more easily contribute and work on translations. Haiku User Guide isn't quite ready yet, but it's only missing a few tiny things before going productive...
- Niels Reedijk "nielx" - he led the successful upgrade to an newer Drupal version of the website. Even more critical, he managed the emergency migration of Haiku's website to another server just before the old one was pulled from under our feet. A disaster avoided that could have spoiled all the GSoC fun that's going on right now.
VOTE NOW
*note - Jorge G. Mare wasn't included in this pole due to our new rule; we now ask each candidate whether or not they'd like to participate. If they decline, or no answer was received, then they aren't included.
