Official Haiku Release - Sept. 14th 0:00 UTC

After a long wait, years and years of development, the model for Haiku and successor to the BeOS will be released in a couple of hours! Of course, we all realize that this is an alpha release but it's a huge step forward. Releasing an easy to use/install disc will surely attract many users and developers who have been curious about Haiku over the years.

Congratulations to all those (and there were many) who supported development of the operating system, whether a core develoer, web designer, news website, financial donor, etc. After all these years, we finally have something to show!

Head on over to Haiku's brand spankin' new website to read all about it, download it, and try it!
