New Caya Build Brings MSN Support to Haiku

imagesPier Luigi Fiorini has been hard at work on Caya, a multi-protocol Instant Messaging application for Haiku. It's been quite a while since Haiku had a decent native instant messaging application that supports that will support the MSN protocol (thanks to  Dario Casalinuovo), but now we do again - finally

I'm old enough to remember the first big IM app, ICQ. ICQ was around before MSN, before they bundled it with their Operating System, eventually killing ICQ.

Needless to say, a lot of people still have MSN accounts and therefore friends on their list. Recently, MSN may be losing ground to web-based IM applications offered by Facebook and Google. Who wants these though, Caya supports  AIM, Gtalk, Facebook and MSN in an awesome native Haiku application. What are you waiting for, download it here.

For more info about instant messaging, see this recent article at the BBC.
