As Haiku increases in popularity,  I'm hopeful users will discover (or rediscover) Jeremy Friesner's amazing BeShare chat client and join the party in the BeShare chatrooms.  BeShare is an extremely friendly platform for chat, and isn't as geeky to set up and use as IRC is.  You just launch the program, choose a "room" from the available servers, and you're in.   You can chat publically or privately, and share files with others in the chatroom by just dragging them to a "shared" folder.  BeShare was THE chat hangout in BeOS' heyday, and I'd love to see it repopulate and become that again.

There are two servers available as of this writing.  One is tycomsystems, operated by Minox, and the other is neonplasma, operated by Zaranthos.  Both  have been kept BeShare servers running all these years and they deserve our gratitude for their efforts.  Come and join one or both and stay logged in with us.  As the numbers increase, we will get BeShare back to being a place where Haiku users (and classic BeOS users) can always find someone to chat with, share ideas, solve problems, etc.
