Fair Harbor Radio Now Running 24/7 Under Haiku

Fair Harbor Radio, formerly BeOSRADIO, is now running around the clock using TuneTracker System and Haiku-OS, and I've gotta tell you, it's running just GREAT.  It's a real tribute to the Haiku team that porting over the TuneTracker System and getting it running like a clock in Haiku was as easy as it has been.  Amazing binary compatibility!  We have the station set up to automatically generate future playlists and load in the correct playlist for each day, so it's possible to walk away and let this thing run virtually forever.

We're noticing some anomalies with certain MP3 files not playing in SoundPlay or Media Player, which is something we're looking into, and presumably is a foible that'll want addressing before Haiku makes it to R1, so we've posted a ticket on that.  Beyond that, and a little instability in the media server/media addon server when making changes to preferences, most everything is smooth sailing.

I've also got to brag on Haiku's speed.  It's so nimble and fast in handling files, windows, etc., that it makes my head spin.

So again, congrats to the Haiku developers for the awesome progress in A3 and beyond.  It's THE OS.  :-)

Oh! great!

In truth, post/A3 (actual revision) could be shipped today with R1 status ;)
