With Haiku Alpha 1 I had success with a Microsoft Explorer USB mouse, but also with Apple very own Mighty Wireless and Wireless Keyboard (paired beforehand under MacOS, but supported in Haiku with cold start).

Still no internal keybd or tracpad in Rev36769 but USB mouse (Microsft) works well & USB kybd (HP) works but painfully; laggy, sometimes missing keystrokes, sometimes repeating rapidly.
No sound even with OSS.
Native screen res 1280 x 800 OK but external LCD monittor wont run.

Correction: It depends on which USB port the mouse and keyboard are plugged into; Swapped them over and now I have excellent keybd and nasty jerky mouse.
For the record, the good port is the front one, nearer the audio jacks.
