Description: Works if you first first install BeSANE, version 'alpha7dev' from here and then Sanity, v0.5a from http://philippe.houdoin.free.fr/phil/beos/sanity/index-en.html.
This Epson is still a decent quality scanner (I think) and if you're impatient enough, you can still find them for sale as second-hand hardware and use one until scanning is more universally covered by Haiku.

*Update: some further testing showed that it scans nicely in three out of four resolutions, which are 75, 150 and 300 dpi. The fourth (600 dpi) crashes the application...however the 300 dpi image is huge (2544x3517 pixels) and very sharp, so only professionals would miss the 600 dpi, I guess.
