Since 2005 I work on a program to Genealogy (genealogy) for Zeta, or since the end of it for haiku.
The program which currently bears the name of MyFamily, is written in the programming language yab. It is one of the first programs that I wrote in yab, but still have not been completed. At the beginning of my experience in programming were still very low, so I was constantly faced with problems that could effect not me.

The programming language (yab) was still subjected to many changes since it was still very new. The next major development pause as Zeta was taken off the market. At this time there were no working on my computer haiku version, the Alpha was still not in sight. Even after it was released the first alpha of Haiku, I lacked the motivation to work out. Although I have occasionally tried a few things and fixed minor bugs, but a real progress has made the project not so. Only some time later I started the Zeta version Haiku rewrite. However, I could not devote the project targeted, because other programs have ideas for me more irritated. So I have many small and a major program (WebConcept Creator) created before I again now and working on MyFamily.
Since so much time has already passed, I have now decided to make MyFamily online. To this end I have everything taken from the program, which is not yet finished. This is what I do, it can collect a working alpha version for testing, debugging and comments are published. I can work in peace of extensions without always have in mind to finish the whole program to have. This has helped me already WebConcept the Creator, because somehow I had at one time, after the program was first online many ideas and posturing like to work on it. Therefore I hope the same now for MyFamily.
Currently you can MyFamily with over 80 per person what information to archive, in contrast to many other genealogy programs is a set. Also, you can make a pedigree indicating which figuratively represents the relationships of the family. The program uses to the Kekule system.
Functions as may be in GEDCOM import and export, statistics, data archival, backup function, and more are already in the early days, but who find them exactly and to what extent the way into the program I am currently not say yet.

No it is almost not finished yet, but a completly running alpha
Cannot help with translation, but will be happy to help with testing when english version is out. My sister has tons of family info I can use.
I hope to continue working on MyFamily past next BeGeistert, i need to end an other project first.
The best way to do the translation into english using the translate function of yab1.7, but i do not understand how it works in the moment.
It starts but cannot create a new project.
The sub apps cannot be started from within the program.
But they run started from the program folder.
I hope you will find some time to update MyFamily.
Do you use a gcc2 or gcc4 version of Haiku?
Ok, i have test MyFamily on R44227 gcc2, it does not run. I try to recompile yab on 44227, but it does not run :(. It is a yab problem, i hope it will be fixed in one of the next version.
To use MyFamily use a official haiku version
