Description:: About CT5880/CT4810 SB PCI driver for BeOS:

SB PCI (ES137x) CT5880 driver for BeOS operating system patched by Dmitry Baramzin

This is patched driver for SB PCI audio cards with CT5880 chip.

ES137x driver don't work with CT5880 cards because:
1) It cannot recognize cards with CardID=5880

A lot of users met situation, when card is recognized, but still no sound. In this case

2) additional initialization for AC 97 codec is needed
(Driver is tested on card "Model CT4810 VendorID 1274 DeviceID 5880 RevID 2" with SigmaTel codec STAC9721)

This problem is solved by setting 29-th bit
in status register (BaseIO + 0x4 ) = 0x20000000 before AC97 initialization.

INSTALLATION: run install in Terminal

To keep BeOS native driver in system, new driver was renamed to
"ct5880" and it will apear in MediaPreferences just under this name.
