About PC Speaker Driver:

PC Speaker Driver will enable anyone who doesn't have a compatible sound card to hear sound on the BeOS! (well so long as you have a trusty PC Speaker attached to your system :)

PC Speaker Driver

Use Pulse Width Modulation to play sounds on a standard PC Speaker!

Sound output at 22Khz, mono 8bit (well 6 bit really)

Loopback device for recording

Quality from AM radio to FM radio (depending on your speakers)

Built in filter, quality and performance controls

Acts like a standard BeOS sound driver

Tested on version 5 only

For X86 only

If your machine is too slow, or for some strange reason incompatible, it will give a loud (and trust me annoying) sound from the speaker. In this case, mute the driver my muting the mixer in the 'pcsp Out' control from the Media Preferences panel, then delete the driver (~/config/add-ons/kernel/drivers/bin/pcsp).
