About ADSL-Upload-fix:

If you use DSL, BeOS R5.0.3 without BONE and have problems with uploads (you can't send mails with a certain size, you cannot upload files to a webspace if they exceed a certain size or similar), this fix may be what you need.

DSL often uses PPPoE (Point-to-Point-Protocol over Ethernet) which is simply normal PPP packed into Enthernet packets. The maximal size of a normal PPP packet is 1500bytes and BeOS correctly uses this value as a max size. But if you use PPPoE there needs to be room for the "oE" stuff (8 bytes), so the correct max length for a PPPoE packet is 1492bytes.

This package replaces the file responsible for PPP stuff in R5 with one that was patched for PPPoE (according to instructions from Philippe Houdoin). It also replaces the net_server with a patched version (this version comes from Eugene Kirilenko, was made by Marcus Overhagen and you can find it at http://doxtur.sakha.net/net_server_patched.zip).
