Broadcom 570x 10/100 Ethernet Adapter Download

Description:
haikulogo2.png
Broadcom 570x 10/100 Ethernet Adapter:

Driver for Broadcom 570x 10/100 Ethernet Driver.

This is completely untested and may not work.

Folders should be created at:

/boot/common/system/add-ons/kernel/drivers/bin

and:

/boot/common/system/add-ons/kernel/drivers/dev/net

The driver should be placed in the /bin folder and then linked to the /net folder.

Note, if the driver renders your system unusable, press the spacebar at boot, and disable the user addons and delete the driver.

I hope this turns out good because this is a fairly common network adapter in Dell Laptops and Desktop.

Don't you have a Dell to test it on?? ;-)

This one works fine for me and two other people, as long as you patch it with the ticket below. The current one in SVN doesn't work yet. The only thing that doesn't work yet is the link state, I'm looking into that. As long as you plug in the cable before you boot the computer, it gets the ip through DHCP, and it works fine.
It is also the latest broadcom driver from FreeBSD, so I'd imagine it supports pretty much all of them.

Hey Karl,

Thanks, but I think you updated the wrong broadcom driver?

This is now included in the Haiku SVN since r28712. So any version after that revision should contain a working driver. If not, please log issues here: http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/1590
