DOSBox 0.74 + launcher Download

Description:

My GCC4 port of DOSBox 0.74 with Simple DOSBox Launcher by Gerasim Troeglazov (aka 3deyes**). Now you can launch any DOS program by double click on it!

All keys works fine.

UPD: Updated version, fixed DOS4GW-related problem

No, unfortunately, gcc2 version is not available yet.

It works on gcc2hybrid's if you install the GCC4 SDL libs off here.

The libs for this package. copy the lib folder to the DOSBox folder.

Works excelent with 40242 gcc4 hybrid nightly. unzip and double click apps and they work fine. I would recomend at least a pentium 4 class machine at 3ghz however. I did get some game play out of a 1ghz p3 but it couldn;t do it. I tried a 1.4 p3 and it choked. A 2.4 atahlon worked ok but was a bit stuttery.


any 2.8ghz or faster p4 or newer cpu should be ok with dos box and most games.the trick here is making sure that you have a fast core becuase dos box is not multithreaded as far as I can tell.

Doesn't work for me on latest nighty-builds (hrev43762) gcc2-hybrid and gcc4-hybrid. Debugger shows the following lines: [tcsetpgrp failed in terminal_inferior: Invalid Argument]
Thread 519 caused an exception: Segment violation

Perhaps it needs to be recompiled?

Workaround to run DosBox on the latest Haiku nightlies:

1: Grab libstdc++.so from Haiku Alpha 3 (or from this link: www.filedropper.com/libstdcso )
2: Go in DosBox folder
3: Create a folder called "lib"
4: inside this new folder copy libstdc++.so

Enjoy with DosBox!
