About

Abuse is a dark 2D side-scrolling platform game developed by Crack dot Com in 1995. It features beautiful lighting, realistic animation and nasty alien-like creatures to destroy.

Since Abuse's public domain release in 1997, the following improvements were made:

-video output uses the SDL library, with optional OpenGL rendering

-64-bit platforms support

-lots of crashes, memory leaks and general bugs fixed

***Built with GCC4 and requires SDL Game Libraries

***Includes Free Abuse data files and original Abuse sfx files. (distribution appears to be allowed per project homepage.)  Default keybinds changed to asdw for movement.  Edit /boot/home/.abuse/abuserc to change.

i'm beginning to think this game is impossible to get through... too many Ants..

A hint... when starting a new game, go left, then press down when you're on the teleporter to play from the first level, which is also the tutorial level.

Probably the best action game we have for Haiku... and it's still working in recent releases!!! (r41284 here)

Also, a new version has been released recently... michael, you'd probably want to update this nice little game for the community, right?
