The server needs php compiled with fastcgi enabled. naybody have a binary? I tried to compile php with no joy.

But perhaps not on HaikuPorts? I can put php with support for mysql and postgres if needed.
And php is working with Cherokee fine without fastcgi.

How does one do that. the Cherokee admin states that php must be compiled with fcgi to work.

Compile php with haikuporter -i php-5.3.5.
This version works with the Cherokee

Most likely you have not installed bzip2. The haikuports has a lot of mistakes. Bzip2 is not specified in the curves of the php. Use haikuporter -i bzip2-1.0.6

Since I have no need for this I havn't tested it ... too complex for me to configure and trackerbase does just fine for my limited database needs.
