to install Bethon 0.54 you need the "sed" command in /bin or at least 

his hard link (ln -s /boot/common/bin/sed /bin/sed)

For my project i found some issues but it's still usable in most cases
- a rewrite is needed in some parts to better manage huge news database
- it works only if WebPositive is present in /boot/apps/WebPositive/WebPositive

BeBits downloads an empty tarball of Bethon-0.5.4.tar.gz.
I don't have an account with them, so I can't "report a problem" .
When I attempt to contact them,I get redirected to Haikuware.
So this post will hopefully get the attention of the right people.

I've downloaded it and extracted it fine (on OS X). There must be something wrong with Haiku's expander. I've encountered lots of problems trying to extract files with Haiku's expander. Try on another OS or the zip file I updated here:

Thanks for the updated link. Please excuse my ignorance, but I tried placing the tarball in the BGator folder and/or extracting it to the BGator folder, then reran the installer. Neither worked. Do I do something else with the updated tarball?

My mistake was to use your Bethon-0.5.4.zip file as is, when the BGator installer script was looking for Bethon-0.5.4.tar.gz.
It installed fine when I added the tarball to the BGator folder.

the installer uses the tar.gz, actually the Expander doesn't like tar.gz but command line command "tar" works fine, so the script uses it, anyway if you put the directory there it's all right ;)

thanks for using it (anyway I realized that I was using badly the database so I think I'll rewrite it if I find some spare time for me)
