I was wondering about this, I guess Sample Studio should be removed from here then...?

But why? Sample Studio will be develop by TuneTracker Systems for Haiku soon.

I believe Xenontrix (sp?) released the sources for it on the condition that SampleStudio and their company name were removed from the binary when it would be recompiled.

BeAE is the open sourced version. Whereas the "Pro" version was sold to TuneTracker Systems, and will be further developed and sold under their name. I hear they are looking for a developer to work on it, possibly earning money in the process. If you are up for it just contact Dane Scott at TuneTrackerSystems.

If you find any bugs with BeAE be sure to report them on the Berlios.de page.

Looks great, but, for me, on ALpha 2, the playback doesn't start where I place the selection bar.

Finally got round to trying this, and it looks great when you open it, but I can't seem to be able to save any audio, in any format! Does this work for anybody? If so, why not for me? (:-/)

I am able to save audio in Wave format/raw audio and as OGG audio (convert audio to OGG audio, at least for me, is a very slow process). All other available formats are just video formats.
In anyway, when you click on "save as" you can see the same options of Haiku's MediaConverter. If i try to cut/edit audio in anyway i just obtains a bad audio file which just contains noise. BeAE needs to be recompiled/improved for Haiku, to have a fully functional audio editor for Haiku. The source code is here: http://dev.osdrawer.net/projects/beae/repository
