About AFPL Ghostscript:

This port of Ghostscript supersedes the older one on BeBits by Jake Hamby. Ghostscript is a Postscript/PDF renderer which you can use to print to a variety of printers, preview on screen, or convert to other file formats.

Original port to BeOS and B/W bitmap driver by Jake Hamby; anti-aliasing drivers by Michael Pfeiffer; Ghostscript 7.x port by Sander Stoks; Ghostscript 8.x port by Michael Pfeiffer.


Variation description:

This package includes AFPL Ghostscript without the font package which is available in a separate package.

Fixed bug whether postscript commands should be read from stdin or not.

Ghostscript Standard Fonts are required by AFPL Ghostscript in order to render text. The fonts package does change rarely so it is provided in a separate package.
