For example with pdfdraw you can make photos of the pdf pages and you can choose how to manipulate it. For example you can choose to convet to grayscale, to rotate and so on.
Some of applications are just of analyzing pdf files, that means they are not really useful for normal users.
thanx mate!
Just an idea.

I will later ask on mailing list, if the devs want to incl baude libmupdf into the base system. It would bring a lot of benefits. The pdfviewer would be a little application, and the pdf to image translator could be easily based on that. Mupdf depends just on a few libraries, so I guess it could be a good idea to integrate it into the base system, but i'm not yet sure if that idea will be welcome
What I also wonder is if muPDF could be used to implement PDF 1.7 support in PDF Writer print driver. But I didn't look deep enough to see if the *create PDF* part support this needs.
Regarding having a libmupdf, I guess that an easy package dependency feature, and both a PDF / XPS translator and a PDF Viewer could comes as a package depending on it.
I think that having a smaller (in memory size) and faster (both startup and rendering) PDF viewer will receive a warm welcome by Haiku devs, and dropping BePDF in favor of three optional packages should not be a real issue.
So, now, write us a fine PDF Viewer
