A DVD and video file player.

VLC (VideoLAN Client) is a multi-platform multimedia player. It handles most MPEG, AVI (including DivX), ASF, WMV, OGG, MP4 and WAV files. See the complete features list.

Details about this version:

VLC 0.8.6c for BeOS and Zeta. This is (generally) a security and stability update from 0.8.6

I won't be.

According to the dev that ported it:

The current version is stable and native with a native GUI. I only put KOffice here because there really hasn't been an updated Office suite in the BeOS/Haiku community for years now.

The current issue with VLC 1.0.4 is that SIGINFO is not implemented in Haiku signals. Bug is logged here:
This is an issue for core developers. Originally this was optional for POSIX compliance. Now SIGINFO is required but not yet implemented in Haiku.

Also, missing of SIGINFO stop me when I try to port Cherokee Web server. (Nice little and fast webserver with friendly and neat administration panel)
