Can you update this file to vlc 1.04?

0 # RE: Updatekarl 2010-02-06 20:15
I won't be.

According to the dev that ported it:

Quote:
the port is only an preview build for testing purposes, there is a big chance it will not work

The current version is stable and native with a native GUI. I only put KOffice here because there really hasn't been an updated Office suite in the BeOS/Haiku community for years now.

The current issue with VLC 1.0.4 is that SIGINFO is not implemented in Haiku signals. Bug is logged here:
This is an issue for core developers. Originally this was optional for POSIX compliance. Now SIGINFO is required but not yet implemented in Haiku.

Also, missing of SIGINFO stop me when I try to port Cherokee Web server. (Nice little and fast webserver with friendly and neat administration panel)

Can you go to:
http://ports.haiku-files.org/wiki
add a wiki entry for Cherokee, then add a dependency for the previous SIGINFO bug? This will add importance for adding SIGINGO. Thanks!

Wonderful! Were can i get binaries?

0 # RE: VLC Media PlayerDiger 2011-04-23 10:29
I do not see sense to spread binaries in such kind...
Because SDL used for video, there are various bugs, like a mouse, and the interface

can you share your source files ? I'd like to work on this and get it working right. Not only that lets try some binarys and see how they work.also given that openGL works now it may be possiable to use opengl.

Nobody says that it will be easy. I was not planning to build bundle version. All dependence can be found in haikuport.
