Haiku build of BeScreenCapture. Works well within Haiku GCC4 and GCC4 Hybrid and within Haiku GCC2 and GCC2 Hybrid.

About this version:

• Recompiled within Haiku R1 Alpha 3.

This app lets you capture the content of your screen, and save it in any movie format supported by your Haiku.
It uses BDirectWindow for minimum CPU-usage.

Ok, tomorrow I will update this package, it will include gcc2 and gcc4 versions.

So there is source code for this? Very nice! maybe we could add more features, like a pause key. Maybe we could start a section listing all the BeOS/Haiku videos on youtube. There are a bunch and more coming.

I think first we need improve app itself and only then add features. Because if you capture screen with big resolution (let's say 1680x1050) about 2 minutes you will get video with lenght only 10-15 secs and all actions will be very very fast. I think there something wrong...

just login there (bottom left), then select the folder at the bottom left, give a new page name, and edit away. there's an example of how to embed youtube videos under wiki-help.

Hi there guys, i get an error when i hit stop recording button. It says "a problem has ocurred, initialization failed". It doesn´t matter the codec i choose, the output folder and name of the file, it simply doesn´t work. Any help will be apreciated. Thanks in advance.
Pd: my version is 38647 ggc2h and im executing gcc4 binary as ggc2 one just crash de app.

I confirm that on r38659 both GCC2 and GCC4 versions of BSC not work. GCC2 crashes / GCC4 -> initialisation error

So either it's a new bug in Haiku or we need to inspect the source code for BSC.

Spits out garbage video files. It runs but the output isn't remotely useable.

Apps again dont work correct - lack of proper playback. Can you recompiled( or possibly improve) this stuff for newest revision?

What is going on?

I had to wait for over an hour to only get 50% download. Using wget took 2 second.

perhaps a bug in Haiku, your browser or ISP abnormality. Downloading this file through a web browser in Canada from Germany took two seconds (OS X & Chrome) - no complaints from anyone else.
