DocumentViewer v0.2.3

- Description:

This is a Pdf-Viewer. This version will not run on A3. It's compiled on a recent nightly build. And it's made for the people who are using nightly builds on which the previous versions of DocumentViewer dont work anymore. Since I'm using some stuff that was just recently added to the api of haiku, it means, that also the future versions of DocumentViewer will not be compiled on A3, but since version 0.2.2 is available it's not that bad. And anyway I guess A4 should come soon.
This version now contains not really substantial improvements, just some little stuff and now if the "splitters" are closed before quiting the application, then this information will be saved too, and at the next start that state will be restored. It's not a big improvement, but i guess it's useful,in the case that one doesnt need the side-bar or the toolbar too often.
The next version after this should come really soon i expect that it should not take longer than 2 weeks, and it will implement the "book outline/content" , which will show in the side-bar the content of the book.
I regret that i didnt do that little update much sooner (and didnt do more improvement), at least in the x-mas time, but i was somehow occupied and I also didnt have big motivation for writing code.
The next version will also contain a button in the "configuration" tab/ribbon which will make it possible to switch back to the classical menu instead of the ribbon. But I'm quite sure that with time, most will be using the ribbon. That's my dream, to see one day die-hard-beos-fans using the ribbon in favor of the classical menu. :-)

I must say I really hate ribbons in windows. The screw up the UI completely e.g. in the MS Office apps. Simply icon goulash.
But in BeOS even such Ribbons (which actually are tabs) look nice ;)
Good idea, nice implementation, nice look :)
As long as you don't pump in too many small icons and keep the big, single ones.
That's good to hear. Even that "minimalistic ribbon" created a lot of troubles. There are quite a few that want it to be away, and prefer instead a small text-based menu.
