This started as a discussion with a friend that was organizing his hard drive and had broken all the symbolic links to his applications from the Be menu. He wanted to have more permanent links so next time he relocates his personally added apps, he doesn't have to rebuild all his links. So, AppLynk was born on the Caltrain ride home. Put AppLynk in your Tracker add-ons folder and select the application you want to link to. Then select the AppLynk add-on, and a lynk (dYnamic LiNK - it's all I could think of) is made with the .lynk extension. Move and rename either as you desire, and the link is still good. It even copies the icons of the original so you don't see a visible difference after you rename it.
