LBackup Download

Thumbnails:

Description:

LBackup is a little Application to save your system and private data.

I create this Software in order to save settings of the system, before i reinstall it. So i dont need to change settings in the system, i only need to unzip the Packages i create with LBackup.

You can edit the LBackup entrys. Open in the LBackup menu the Option -Settings- and then -Defaul-. A documentation will come soon.

Here some tips to changer the config files:

title|Name of BoxView|14

-title-: if LBackup read this part it creates a Boxview with the the name -Name of BoxView-

The number behind of the Boxviewname is the number of entrys in this BoxView. If you have -14- Settings entered, type here 14.

NetPenguin Settings|/boot/home/config/settings/_LP_x-zeid-NetPenguin

This is a -Part- of the BoxView. First is the Name of the Application and the behind it is the path to the file or folder.

Have fun by testing this little Backup Tool

In case you were wondering about the file access error, it seems the SEF engine that rewrites URLs doesn't like apostrophes (Lelldorin's)... Will fix that

should be... say, do you know how to make a ISO that will retain Haiku's attributes and mime types? I tried both mkisofs and mkhybrid to create a bootalbe ISO of Senryu within Senryu, but it didn't copy the attributes or mime types.

This is a really cool idea, but when I try to run it on gcc2 Alpha 1 I get an error for a missing libncurses.so library.

0 # libncurses.soLelldorin 2009-10-11 21:15
Yes you need libncurses.so to run LBackup, because this app is written in yab. All yab applications needs libncurses.co. You can find the librarie on: http://www.besly.de at the Downloads.

Hey, Lelldorin
Make main window smaller than XXXx600 pixels [ 400 should be good* ] because on my MSI Wind the window is too big.

*- even for users with 800x480 screens like Asus EEE 2G

Hui i do the window of all my apps maximum 800x600 pixels. I dont know that newer systems have screens with lower size. Ok i will take a look into LBackup to do a smaler one :-).

I can't seem to get the link to work on besly.de, the page refreshes and the download counter increments but I can't save the ncurses library. I have other YAB applications installed on my machine that work fine, is there no option to statically link them in when you compile?

I know this problem, you can download the files on BeSly. If you select a Downloadfile, the site refresh and on the top of the site you can find a link to the downloadfile "Your Download".

I saw that you uploaded the lib to haikufiles so I just grabbed it from here and dropped it into my /boot/common/lib folder. Cool App, Thanks!

I think the verb is supposed to be "Back up". A backup (noun) is what you have when you have backed something up.

libncurses.so is only needed if yab was compiled with libncurses.so present, as on Zeta or BeOS. yab compiled on haiku ( without libncurses.so installed on the system ) produces binaries without the need for libncurses.so... see Window Decor and Bookmarker, both yab apps that do not need libncurses.so to be installed to run.

Hi bbjimmy, can you explain how to do that?

Compile yab on Haiku with no libncurses.so installed on the system and then use this yab binary to bind to your code. haiku includes all of libncurses.so in a system library, I don't know where it is linked, but it is in the source tree for Haiku. It is just not included as libncurses.so, it is linked to another library that is used in haiku.

Nice information bbjimmy. I have compiled yab new and add a link on Haikuware.
