Simple Copy Move Rename
Download
- Description:
-
This is a very simple and minimalist app made with scripting. You can choose if copy/move files or folders via direct questions.A dialog window will ask to you where to save and which name give to file/folder.In this way you can also rename a file by choosing "move", overwriting the original. You can copy/move files and folders between different filesystem (eg. FAT32 > Be File System and vice-versa)This app is also good for backup purposes, because it keep attributes (on BFS disks). And, last but not least, will open automatically the target file/folder for you!Note: this is my first attempt to make an application, so don't expect particular enhancements, this app is "as is".The icon used is from ZuMi icons's page: http://zumi.xoom.it/myhaiku/extract to /boot/apps

This is not correct, If you copy a file to a non BeFS System you lost all attributes. Some apps does not run without this attributes anymore.
But if i copy (for example) an mp3 file or an image on a fat32 disk, then i can open it correctly, with mediaplayer (mp3) or with show image (the image).
To be more accurate, with this phrase i said that is possible copy/move files and folders from/to another filesystem, but i've specified that if you want keep attributes, you have to copy/move to another Haiku/BFS disk
