A nitpick: it needs to go into "/boot/home/config/settings/dunelegacy" actually. To be honest, though, I still can't manage to find where the variable for setting the config folder is stored. I found every other darn folder variable in the configure script, but not that... and autotools create such an unreadable mess. >_> Any ideas/pointers?

Only remaining issue with A3 and Haiku compatibility icon is the duly noted directory structure. boot/home/.config/dunelegacy needs to go in boot/home/config/dunelegacy I will ask if there is a bit of flexability on this. I would personaly prefer a rigid enforcement in either boot/home or boot/home/config.One or the other. I will recomend this app to get a Haik Compatability Logo. but with the remaining issue, it would require a approval I cannot give, due to the directory issue.

I am not singling anyone out. Please do not take my notification as such. My goal is to put together a workable software collection that users can unzip and run. Ideally Haikuware would be the place to host such a software collection. I will be auditing most of the applications here on haikuware and leaving a flagging comment. The basic idea is that for the next Alpha the developers would like a more reliable software stack that gives a better presentation. I agree with this. First impressions are everything. If someone feels single out, I offer my apologys, but I am being tasked with testing software and if I find it noncompliant, I am going to tag it as such. I am doing this for everyones benefit. If there is something you need help with, let me know and I will see what I can do. Thank you for you time Sean

Just general rules Haiku devs believe should be followed to avoid broken programs & games on gcc2 hybrid like the Alpha releases. It was not directed at you Michael. I may have uploaded stuff packaged for gcc4 Haiku too because you expect people that use gcc4 apps to run them on gcc4 OS but bad assumption to go by. gcc2 hybrids are Haiku's official release and the only distributed version for releases (Alpha, Beta, R1). So you get thousands of people who are downloading Haiku Alphas and these end users have trouble installing software to the Alphas. The Haiku devs' point makes very good sense to me even though I use gcc4 hybrids myself. ie, those people using gcc4 hybrids would have to manually install libraries The compatible logo would not be given to a gcc4 program that did not run on gcc2 hybrid., etc.

Alpha Releases have all been x86, gcc2 hybrids so compatible logo would be given if it worked on x86, gcc2 hybrid which includes the Alphas. Only big issue with logo is that gcc4 program may not work in the future on Haiku and so someone always has to be checking and updating whether app is compatible or not since they expect the gcc4 program to continue working on newer Haiku revisions too.
