Developer cipri, a mathematical physics student in Germany, has already recently ported mupdf, and designed a basic PDF Viewer based on this. His ambitions now are to write a BePDF replacement for Haiku! Cipri plans to release a new version every week, and hopefully have a somewhat complete version by the end of October. A blog entry by cipri outlines his plans.

Yab, an easy to use programming language for Haiku, has a long list of applications.
Developer Jan_64 has been absent for a while now, and there was concern the project had stalled. Good news though, he's back!
