Axel fixes an annoying bug

Of course, Axel fixes a lot of annoying bugs, but I believe this was quite an important one which frustrated a lot of testers. When copying over applications to Haiku's partition and then restarting, they would be corrupt.

It seems in rev21971 this is fixed !

Great job Axel.

I will adjust the weekly super pack shortly so that we can enjoy those changes and really test some apps (and submit bugs of course)

Login Problem

Hi there, we may have a little login problem. I'll have to look at it later. Let me know if you're having any problems, and what they are here if you can still login, or via email.

*Update this has been resolved somewhat (that's what I get for upgrading to the latest version). 4-5 hours of hunting what's wrong, breaking the site, and headaches! Oh well, back now. The member's list is a little messed up for now, will fix it soon.

On another note, the webkit bounty recently reached $750! Thanks for showing your support to this developer and bounty!

Weekly Super Pack

Ok, so I tested a bunch of BeOS apps on Haiku, and found a bunch that worked. I've extracted them all, and put them on a 10gb expanding VMWare disk image (plus the needed libraries). So, you can just attach the disk to a Haiku VM, and use the apps. Or, you could just drag the Haiku OS over to the apps disk, and make it bootable. There's about 330mb free space on it, so if you add the 80mb or so Haiku takes you'll be left with about half (250mb of free space).

*Update - I've also added the operating system (rev21836) and all the menu links, the graphics driver, added workspaces to the bootscript, deleted terminal from the bootscript, added the Haiku logo as the desktop background, etc. I also added OSS and the es137x driver, but couldn't get it to work right. osstest plays the sample sound! but it doesn't show up in the media preferences... Another thing, Qemu works with the neat GUI BeQ. I added a test ISO of the QNX floppy in the /images folder under BeQ, try it out.

*Update#2 - Added some more apps... Exposure, RobinHood, Silverwing, Jam, JamMin, GCC-2.9-BeOS-991026, Headers, BeGet, Friss

*Update#3 - made the image an expanding disk (10gb). Added Freecraft.

*Update#4 - big update... I moved all the apps, settings, links, drivers into the home directory. I also added 'simplebackup' with a link on the desktop. This means (if you leave the settings of simple backup the way they are), that you can move all the apps, libraries, drivers, settings from Haiku into a neat zip file to be moved on to future Haiku revisions! Be aware, it doesn't look like it's doing anything at first, but it will. The process took about 3-4 min on my machine and compressed everything into a 111mb zip file. Warning, you'll need to increase the RAM of your VM to 784mb as it stores the info in RAM I guess (disk option doesn't work), and Haiku will run out of memory and KDL  if you have less RAM and run simple backup on this image's home dir.

*Update#5, changed the name to weekly super pack. Will try to renew the operating system on the image weekly. Now contains rev21924.

Added a vmx file in the description and download area. Just leave the disk image and vmx file in the same dir, or edit it how you want.

Disk image has about 9.7 gb free space (all in a ~100mb download), and comes with these applications:

Biffuz
CL-Amp

Samplestudio
