Hi, I'm Alan.
Whew, that was tough! Back to 3rd person.
Alan's just another programmer in the Santa Cruz area who first heard about the amazing BeOS when he worked at Borland. After getting the R3 beta for x86, he ferverently spend all his free time on it learning the wonderous C++ API and alienating his girlfriend.
After meeting some of the k-Rad Be peeps at one of the last BeDev conferences, he was contacted about a position at the aforementioned company. He, of cource, jumped at the opportunity and had a very fufilling year at Be.
Sadly this all came to an end when Palm bought out Be's IP and engieers, and Alan is relegated to working on tedious and boring windows applications for the Palm Dev Tools group.
Alan still haqs on BeOS in his ever diminishing free time, and tries to stay current in the community. He has been seen donating code to BeShare, Vision, Scooby, The Mail Daemon Replacement, and giving friendly advice to the OpenBeOS peeps.
He can be found lurking as 'voidref' on #bedev and #vision on irc.sorcery.com or #c++ #python #openbeos #newos on irc.freenode.net, so pop in and say hi!
